We hope this page will give you an understanding of the key functionality of Canvas, and other related learning technologies.
If you are new to Canvas, you will automatically be enrolled as a student. This will change when you are added to a module as a tutor. Another member of staff can add you as a tutor using the My Canvas Admin tool. Or you can ask for help by raising a ticket with LJMU Assist.
Canvas contains a separate space or ‘course’ for each module at LJMU. These courses are created automatically for you. You need to be enrolled as a tutor in order to use them.

You have a responsibility to learn and use the functions inside Canvas in the right way. This can save you time when things go wrong, and stop you from making mistakes.
