LJMU Connectors

LJMU Connectors are on hand to provide peer support and make sure staff have access to the appropriate resources and services. The Connectors receive ongoing training to spot early signs of mental ill health, listen to staff in confidence and without judgement, and to make sure people can access professional support.

The role is in addition to our existing wellbeing services and part of LJMU's commitment to providing an environment where people feel supported and are able to thrive, in line with the University's Health and Wellbeing Strategy (PDF, 210KB)

The Connectors are based in academic and professional service teams across our campuses.

If you feel you need confidential advice or support around your wellbeing, please contact the Connector in your area (or you are welcome to approach a Connector from a different area if you are more comfortable doing so, but please be assured that all contact is completely confidential).

Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

Staff can use the Vivup EAP service to speak to a trained counsellor 24/7, 365 days a year. To access the support line, call 0330 380 0658 and mention you are LJMU staff or visit the website.
