International Enrolment

As a new International student, you will receive information about collecting your student ID card after you have completed your Registration. Card collection times and locations for students starting in September 2024 will appear here.

Cards will only be available if all registration criteria have been met.

Important:
You must have uploaded a photo and provided all your enrolment documentation before your ID card will be issued.

Returning students will not receive a new card as your existing card will remain valid for the duration of your studies.

You can obtain a replacement card via My LJMU.

Please note
Replacement cards will not be posted. Once you have ordered your new card, you must take the email receipt to either of our libraries (Avril or Aldham Robarts) between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, and a new card will be produced for you at the Hub.

You need to do the following:

First, complete the online registration.

Then you need to upload the following documents to International Student Document Upload:

1. A copy of your eVisa.


2. Your eVisa 'share code' so that LJMU can view your digital immigration status.


3. Evidence of the date you entered the UK.
   This should be either the immigration stamp in your passport issued at the UK border, or if you use the e-gates a copy of your boarding pass or eTicket showing the date you travelled.


4. Evidence that you have paid a minimum of 50% of your tuition fee, or if you are financially sponsored by your government or other official organisation, a copy of your letter of Sponsorship.

Important:
Please make sure you have uploaded a photograph to myphoto.ljmu.ac.uk.

You must have completed all of the above steps before your student ID card will be issued.

You need to do the following:

First, complete online registration.

Then you need to upload the following documents using the International Student Document Upload form on My Services:

Please note:
You will need to upload each document separately, not as one multiple upload.

1. If you made your visa application whilst you were outside the UK, a copy of your Entry Visa showing the date you entered the UK


2. If you made your visa application whilst in the UK, a copy of the acknowledgement confirming the application has been submitted.


3. A copy of both sides of your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) when collected


4. Evidence that you have paid a minimum of 50% of your tuition fee, or if you are financially sponsored by your government or other official organisation, a copy of your letter of Sponsorship.

Please make sure you have uploaded a photograph to myphoto.ljmu.ac.uk.

   a.  A copy of the data page of your passport. This is the page which shows your photo, Passport Number and Expiry Date.

   b.  A 'share code' so that LJMU can view your digital immigration status.

   c.  Evidence that you have paid a minimum of 50% of your tuition fee, or if you are financially sponsored by your government or other official organisation, a copy of your letter of Sponsorship.

3. Please make sure you have uploaded a photograph to myphoto.ljmu.ac.uk

You need to do the following:

1. Complete online registration
   
2. Upload the following documents using the International Student Document Upload form on My Services.
   
   Please note
   You will need to upload each document separately, not as one multiple upload.

   a)  A copy of the data page of your passport.

   b)  A copy of both sides of your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP).

   c)  Evidence that you have paid a minimum of 50% of your tuition fee, or if you are financially sponsored by your government or other official organisation, a copy of your letter of Sponsorship.

3. Please make sure you have uploaded a photograph to myphoto.ljmu.ac.uk.

Please check in the 'Student ID Card - Returning Students' tab above for details of ID card replacement if required.

You need to do the following:

1. Complete online registration
   
2. Upload the following documents using the International Student Document Upload form on My Services.

• Evidence of date of entry to the UK.
  This should be either a copy of your visitor visa
     or
  if you used the e-gates, a copy of your boarding pass or eTicket showing the date you travelled.

After successfully completing your programme, you need to do the following:

1. Complete online registration using the link in the Registration email you will receive.
2. Upload the required documents using the International Student Document Upload form on My Services.

The documents you need to submit depend on your circumstances. Please see further details below.

International Foundation programme students

1. If you make a new visa application outside of the UK:
   
   • A copy of your new Entry visa showing the date you returned to the UK, and
   • A copy of your new BRP when you have collected it. Or, 
     if you are granted a digital immigration status, a ShareCode allowing LJMU to view your digital permission.
     
     
   If you make a new visa application outside of the UK:
   • A copy of your current BRP, and
   • Evidence of a new visa application, and
   • A copy of your new BRP when it is received. Or, 
     if you are granted a digital immigration status, a ShareCode allowing LJMU to view your digital permission.
2. Evidence that you have paid the required amount of tuition fees (as stated in your CAS letter), or a copy of your letter of sponsorship.

International Year 1 Students (iCAS)

1. A copy of both sides of your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP).Or,

   if you have been granted a digital immigration status, a ShareCode allowing LJMU to view your digital permission.

2. Evidence that you have paid the required amount of tuition fees (as stated in your offer letter), or a copy of your letter of sponsorship.

Pre-Masters Students (iCAS)

1. A copy of both sides of your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP).Or,

   if you have been granted a digital immigration status, a ShareCode allowing LJMU to view your digital permission.

2. Evidence that you have paid the required amount of tuition fees (as stated in your offer letter), or a copy of your letter of sponsorship.
