International Enrolment

As a new International student, you will receive information about collecting your student ID card after you have completed your Registration.

ID cards will be available for collection as part of the International Welcome Event on Monday 13 January 2025, from 9.30am to 4pm in the Student Life Building. After this date, student ID cards can be collected from the LJMU reception in Exchange Station, Monday - Friday, 9:30am to 4pm.

Cards will only be available if all registration criteria have been met.

Important:
You must have uploaded a photo and provided all your enrolment documentation before your ID card will be issued.

If you have uploaded an eVisa share code, you will be able to collect your student ID card once you have received an email to confirm that your share code has been accepted and Registration is complete.

Returning students will not receive a new card as your existing card will remain valid for the duration of your studies.

You can obtain a replacement card via My LJMU.

Please note
Replacement cards will not be posted.
Once you have ordered your new card, you must take the email receipt to either of our libraries (Avril or Aldham Robarts) between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, and a new card will be produced for you at the Hub.

You need to do the following:

1. Complete online registration.

2. Upload the following documents using the International Student Document Upload form on My Services:

Please note
You will need to upload each document separately, not as a multiple upload.

• Your eVisa share code so that LJMU can view your digital immigration status.
• Evidence of the date you entered the UK.
  This should be either the immigration stamp in your passport issued at the UK border, or if you use the e-gates, a copy of your boarding pass or eTicket showing the date you travelled.
• Evidence that you have paid both the initial deposit of £5,000 and the first instalment payment,
      or
  if you are financially sponsored by your government or other official organisation, a copy of your letter of sponsorship.

3. Please make sure you have uploaded a photograph to myphoto.ljmu.ac.uk.

Important
You must have completed all of the above steps before your student ID card will be issued.

You need to do the following:

• If you made your visa application whilst you were outside the UK, a copy of your Entry Visa showing the date you entered the UK.
• If you made your visa application whilst in the UK, a copy of the acknowledgement confirming the application has been submitted (e.g. a screenshot of the email confirmation).
• Upload your eVisa share code to allow LJMU to view your immigration status.
• Evidence that you have paid both the initial deposit of £5,000 and the first instalment payment.
      or,
  if you are financially sponsored by your government or other official organisation, a copy of your letter of sponsorship.

     3. Please make sure you have uploaded a photograph to myphoto.ljmu.ac.uk.

• A copy of the data page of your passport. This is the page which shows your photo, passport number and expiry date.
• Upload an eVisa share code to allow LJMU to view your immigration status.
• Evidence that you have paid the required amount of tuition fee deposit,
      or,
  if you are financially sponsored by your government or other official organisation, a copy of your letter of sponsorship.

Please check in the 'Student ID Card - Returning Students' tab above for details of ID card replacement if required.

You need to do the following:

1. Complete online registration
2. Upload the following documents using the International Student Document Upload form on My Services.
   • Evidence of date of entry to the UK.
     This should be either a copy of your visitor visa,
         or
     if you used the e-gates, a copy of your boarding pass or eTicket showing the date you travelled.
3. Please make sure you have uploaded a photograph to myphoto.ljmu.ac.uk.

Important
You must have completed all of the above steps before your student ID card will be issued.

After successfully completing your programme, you need to do the following:

1. Complete online registration using the link in the Registration email you will receive.
   
   
2. Upload the required documents using the International Student Document Upload form on My Services.

The documents you need to submit depend on your circumstances. Please see further details below.

International Foundation programme students

If you make a new visa application from inside the UK:

• A copy of your new Entry visa showing the date you returned to the UK.
• Upload an eVisa share code allowing LJMU to view your immigration status.
• Evidence that you have paid the required amount of tuition fees (as stated in your CAS letter),
      or,
  if you are financially sponsored by your government or other official organisation, a copy of your letter of sponsorship.

If you make a new visa application from outside the UK:

• A copy of your current BRP.
• A copy of the acknowledgement confirming that a new visa application has been submitted(e.g. a screenshot of your email confirmation).
• Upload an eVisa share code allowing LJMU to view your immigration status.
• Evidence that you have paid the required amount of tuition fees (as stated in your CAS letter),
      or,
  if you are financially sponsored by your government or other official organisation, a copy of your letter of sponsorship.

International Year 1 Students (iCAS)

1. Upload an eVisa share code allowing LJMU to view your immigration status.

2. Evidence that you have paid the required tuition fee instalment (as stated in your offer letter),
       or,
   if you are financially sponsored by your government or other official organisation, a copy of your letter of sponsorship.

Pre-Masters Students (iCAS)

1. Upload an eVisa share code to allow LJMU to view your immigration status.

2. Evidence that you have paid the required tuition fee instalment (as stated in your offer letter),
       or
   if you are financially sponsored by your government or other official organisation, a copy of your letter of sponsorship.
