Andrea is a Reader in Science Education and ITT Partnership Lead in the School of Education. Her role in Initial Teacher Education (ITE), involves supporting teachers of the future by leading the Primary and Secondary Undergraduate and Postgraduate Partnership with schools for all LJMU student teachers. In addition, Andrea leads the Secondary Chemistry PGCE programme in the ITE team.

Previously to joining LJMU, Andrea had dedicated 15 years to teaching chemistry in a range of secondary schools in London and Liverpool, including serving as the Head of Department for Science in two schools and leading learning and teaching as part of her senior leadership role.
