Use the link sent to your personal email address to access CAS Shield.
Enter, review and confirm your personal information and upload the documents requested.
Even if you previously submitted documents with your application, you must upload them again in CAS Shield so we can use them for CAS issuing.
UKVI require you to have enough funding to pay any remaining tuition fees and any associated living costs. You may be asked to upload financial evidence, such as bank statements, to confirm this.
It is important to start preparing your funds early, as any bank statements provided must show the required amount has been held in your account for 28 consecutive days.
If your offer letter confirms that you have been awarded an LJMU scholarships (for example LJMU International Achievement Scholarship or LJMU Regional Scholarship), please remember to include these in your financial plan.
We also recommend planning your finances carefully to ensure your funds mature well before the CAS issuing deadline. If your funds do not mature by this date, we will be unable to issue your CAS.
Some students will be required to complete either:
- a recorded Pre-CAS interview (link to pre-CAS interview page) or
- a pre-CAS questionnaire.
You will only need to complete one of these if requested.
We will be happy to issue your CAS once you have:
- accepted your unconditional offer
- uploaded all required documents to CAS Shield
- paid your deposit or provided an approved sponsorship letter, and
- successfully completed any required pre-CAS checks.
Your CAS letter will be sent to your personal email address and contains the information you need for your visa application.
Each CAS has a unique 14-digit reference number which must be entered in your visa application.
You can only apply for your Student visa up to six months before your course start date, so we will only begin issuing CAS within this timeframe.
