I joined Liverpool John Moores University in 2013 following 20 years in clinical practice most of which were spent working in Specialist Palliative Care. I currently run 2 palliative care modules one at level 6 and one at level 7 and have a particular interest in the communication skills required to manage distressing situations.
My current post is Placement Lead for Nursing, this role brings me in to contact with the many practice partners the School utilises to facilitate placements for nursing placements. The quality of the student experience in placement makes a significant contribution to learning and in the preparation for professional registration.
