   Diwali is an annual five-day festival of lights celebrated during the Hindu month of Kartika. In the spirit of celebration, let us all get involved with the brilliant array of events occurring during this period in Liverpool, in neighbouring cities and even virtually. Happy Diwali everyone!

5. World Mental Health Day 2019

   World Mental Health Day on October the 10th is the annual global celebration of mental health education, awareness and advocacy. Throughout the week starting Monday 7th– Friday 11th October LJMU Student Advice and Wellbeing Services will be delivering a range of activities and raising awareness to celebrate good mental health and encourage us all to look at what we can do to maintain and promote positive wellbeing.

6. Salters Festival of Chemistry 2016

   Over 60 school pupils from across the North West, including Merseyside, Lancashire, the Isle of Man and Colwyn Bay, went to LJMU to enjoy an exciting day in the labs, as part of the Salters' Festival of Chemistry.

7. John Moores Painting Prize 2016

   Chinese artists made welcome in Liverpool for the John Moores Painting Prize 2016 at LJMU's John Lennon Art and Design Building.

   LJMU has been shortlisted for University of the Year plus several other categories in this year’s Educate North Awards.

9. Postgraduate Research Experience Survey 2019

   The 2019 Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) is now open. The survey runs from Monday 1 April until Friday 10 May.
