Dr Clifford teaches on the Contextual Studies modules across all levels of the Fashion Design and Communication BA programme. Ruth has a background in textile design and has recently completed a PhD which focused on the role of design and business education in Indian handloom craft development for contemporary markets. She has particular interest and expertise in the following subject areas: traditional textile craft practices, craft, fashion and sustainability, transnational co-design, postcolonial fashion theory and decolonisation.
