Sarah joined LJMU as a lecturer in Criminology in October 2014.

Sarah completed her PhD at the University of Liverpool funded by the Economic Social Research Council (ESRC) +3 PhD Research Studentship and the Duncan Norman Scholarship.
Her thesis explored the ways in which young people, aged between 10 and 17 years old, conceptualised and experienced policing, safety, security and harm in two coastal resorts.
The ethnographic study used multiple methods to elicit the experiences and perceptions of young through centre-based youth organisations and outreach work in two coastal resorts, one in England and one in Wales.
