Professor Phil Kelly is an engaged scholar, both management practitioner and academic. He is a risk expert with the UN and Principal examiner with the Institute of Risk Management. He has consulted on management to organisations in over 20 countries and has written ten books on management (some of which are best sellers). As a Management Consultant he established two successful global consultancy firms having previously held management roles in a selection of UK companies. Completing his Doctorate at one of Europe's leading business schools, he went on to teach at a range of universities. An experienced lecturer, he has an MA (distinction) in teaching and learning in Higher Education and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) - now AdvanceHE. The Vice Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University presented Phil with an excellence award in recognition of distinction in teaching. In 2022 he was nominated for a Teaching Excellence Award in the category of Individual Teaching Excellence, receiving a commendation. Presently, Phil is a Professor of Management with the Liverpool Business School.
