I am at heart a Mathematician, though my research interests are broadly within medical statistics, bioinformatics and data science applied to new technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT). I have a strong research record on the development of models of health outcomes involving complex biological systems from large datasets as well as the study of advanced hybrid bio-statistical and machine learning approaches to identify latent classes of disease risk and health outcomes.
