Eleanor Fenney

Eleanor is a registered adult nurse and academic with 25 years of clinical and higher education experience. Her post qualification clinical practice experience was in both Orthopaedics and Intensive Care. She was appointed to LJMU in 2023 with 10 years in higher education experience as the Principal Lecturer for Apprenticeships within the School of Nursing and Advanced Practice and then as Subject Head for Post Graduate Education, Advanced Practice and CPD in October 2023.

Throughout her academic career Eleanor has been engaged with curriculum innovation and development of the multi-professional workforce, with teaching and scholarly activities focused on both undergraduate and post graduate nursing, nurse paramedic integrated professions and advanced clinical practice. Her scholarly activity is on the development of the multi-professional workforce, patient centred care, and professional identity.

Eleanor is a member of the Higher Education Academy as Fellow and is also a Fellow of the Florence Nightingale Foundation.
