Amanda Robinson, a NMC registered midwife and Senior Midwifery Lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University. My midwifery career has always been focused on supporting birthing persons to gain the education and information required, so they can make informed choices regarding their maternity care in partnership with healthcare professionals. One of my passions is also supporting students in clinical practice, ensuring they become confident competent practitioners upon qualification. I continue to work clinical shifts as a rotational midwife within the NHS. I have a particular interest in maternity bereavement care, improving wellbeing and retention for both clinical staff and students. I am passionate about providing all students an inclusive and diverse learning environment, where they can develop their knowledge and skills with support; hence, I have an interest in practice learning, clinical skills teaching and the use of simulation.
