I am generally interested in various research questions related to eco-physiology of mammals (and other animals), in particular thermoregulation and energy expenditure. This includes (but is not limited to) energy saving adaptations such as torpor use, heat production mechanisms such as nonshivering thermogenesis in brown adipose tissue or muscle, as well as individual differences in physiological and behavioural traits that influence animal survival.
