Working life at LJMU
Staff Networks
Staff Networks at LJMU are instrumental in creating a safe space for employees. They provide communities based on shared stories, identities and experiences.
We have many Diversity and Inclusion initiatives that you can get involved in:
- Ethnically Diverse Staff Network
- Staff Disability Network
- LJMU Together LGBTQI+ Staff Network
- Women Academics Network
- Women Professors Network
- Women in Professional Services Network
- Admin and PA Staff Network
We place importance in having a diverse and inclusive workplace. To this end, we have introduced Associate Deans for Diversity and Inclusion in all faculties as well as professional services. This ensures that local issues inform the Diversity and Inclusion agenda and that resources are in place.

- support for organisational objectives and strategies, including the 2030 LJMU People Plan
Students at the Heart
Our annual conference brings academic and professional services staff together. We share ambitions and progress across the institution and tackle LJMU community concerns. Sessions feature presentations from LJMU academic and professional staff, students and partners.
