MSc Nursing Degrees
Qualify as a Nurse in two years with Liverpool John Moores University
Nursing fields available:
Who can apply?
Our two-year, pre-registration Nursing degrees are designed for people who have already graduated with a Level 6 (Bachelors) degree in any subject, and who can demonstrate at least 700 hours (approximately six months) health or social care experience.
These Masters-level degrees are a great way for allied health professionals, such as occupational therapists, physio therapists and paramedics, to dual qualify and join the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse.
They are also ideal if you're looking for a rewarding career change from any other sector and can evidence the required experience, which can be paid or voluntary. So whether your degree is in anything from Art History to Zoology, you could still be eligible.
What are the benefits of studying MSc Nursing instead of BSc Nursing?
- The MSc is a two-year course, whereas the BSc is a three-year course. This means you qualify one year faster, pay less tuition fees and start earning earlier.
- You graduate with a Level 7 Masters postgraduate degree, which is a higher qualification than a Level 6 Bachelors undergraduate degree.
Can I apply for funding support?
We highly recommend all students apply for funding support. As with the BSc routes, students may be eligible for the NHS training grant (minimum £5,000 per year standard), plus loans through the Student Loans Company. Please visit the course pages for further information and links to eligibility criteria.
