Lilly is an inspiring media production student who aims to break down barriers in the movie industry and is inspired by trailblazing women in film, and her own family too. She’s also a dedicated volunteer, having raised money and given her time to various charities in Teeside. In 2023, her volunteering work was recognised as she was awarded a British Citizen Youth Award.
The Liverpool Logistics, Offshore and Marine Research Institute (LOOM) specialises in marine, offshore and transport sectors. The research projects conducted by LOOM have helped to improve the efficiency of port and terminal operations in Europe and the Far East.
School of Biological and Environmental Sciences
Lorraine Shaw was the Subject Lead for Nursing in the School of Nursing and Allied Health from 2013 until her retirement in 2023. As a registered nurse since 1987, practising in a range of clinical areas, her ties with LJMU began in 1992 when she needed a degree to progress with her career and enrolled with LJMU while continuing to work full-time for the NHS, and later venturing into teaching and management.
