School of Public and Allied Health
Meeting the health and wellbeing needs of individuals and communities
The school of Public and Allied Health brings together disciplines from across the spectrum of health and social care, from high-level, wide-reaching policy perspectives, through to those professions delivering personalised patient care.
From community to individual, we are passionate about delivering better health and wellbeing outcomes and improving health equity. We do this by delivering research-driven learning opportunities for our students, as the next generation of practitioners, clinical professionals and policymakers.
Our specialist areas include:
- Environmental health
- Local and international public health
- Midwifery education
- Paramedic Science
- Social Work
We are able to do this thanks to strong partnerships with health and social care organisations across the region and beyond, including NHS Trusts, Health Education England, the Health and Care Professions Council, local authorities, charities, commissioning bodies and private providers.
