About GCMM

The GCMM is a major biennial international conference for widespread dissemination of knowledge in manufacturing, management, engineering and technology. Recent events held in Australia (2018), China (2016), India (2014), New Zealand (2012) and Thailand (2010), were highly successful and attracted delegates from over 20 countries. 

For the first time, this global congress will be held in Europe, in the UK, to share new attainments in research and industrial practice between academic scholars and industry practitioners. This conference has always attracted high-quality research papers and continues to serve as a central hub where the world’s knowledge of manufacturing research is fused with industry strategy in a globalised market.

Brunel University London is a research-led university based in west London, UK. It has 1,200 academic staff and 15,000 students of whom 3,000 are engaged in postgraduate and PhD research study.  In the recent two Research Assessment Exercises (RAE/REF) in the ‘General Engineering’ unit in which the departments/teams participated, Brunel University London has ranked in the top 10 in the country. The university is well recognized as one of the leading international centres in advanced manufacturing and global manufacturing.

Wrocław University of Science and Technology (WUST) is one of the best technical universities in Poland with over 27,000 students, 2,000 academic staff and 16 Faculties, 887 didactic laboratories, 175 research laboratories and 13 accredited laboratories. It is the second-best technical university in Poland and in 2016, it earned the title of “Human Resources Excellence in Research” granted by the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. Over the last ten years, WUST generated some 1,283 patents.

Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is a vibrant community of over 23,000 students from over 100 countries and it is integral to the life of the city, with a global approach in forging international partnerships to facilitate world-leading research and collaboration. It is one of the largest, most dynamic and forward-thinking universities in the UK. LJMU is one of the highest climbers nationally in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, with 60% of research classified as world-leading or internationally excellent. LJMU has the world's largest robotic telescope and a state-of-art maritime 360 simulator.

 Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is driven by a collective purpose: to improve life by applying knowledge and to develop a better world through education, research and innovation. Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), Government of India has recognised VIT as an Institution of Eminence (IoE). VIT has around 30,000 students from all the 29 states of India and more than 41 countries. In terms of accreditation and academic rankings, VIT has retained the number one position among the private engineering institutions in India for the fourth year in a row, amongst the elite universities in the NIRF ranking. Among its accolades, VIT is the first institution in India to obtain a 4-star rating from QS for three consecutive years. 

QUT, a university for the real world is a highly-successful research university located in the urban river city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Since its inception in 1989, it has grown to accommodate more than 45,000 students, including 8,000 from overseas. It offers over 400 courses and extensive research programmes with high-quality teaching and research spaces. The teaching, research and executive staff are leaders in their fields, delivering the best outcomes for students and steering the university to better meet future needs.

 Zhengzhou University (ZZU) is the largest among the top comprehensive universities of Central China, with academic programmes covering a range of disciplines. It has at present 72,600 full-time students including 55,000 undergraduates, 15,800 postgraduates and 1,800 international students. School of Management Engineering of ZZU provides high-quality education programmes in the areas of management science and engineering, and contributes to solid research outcomes.

Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) is a multidisciplinary municipal university with an engineering focus which has 32 secondary teaching and research institutions. BJUT provides 20 first-class doctoral programs, 33 first-class masters’ programs, and 18 postdoc research centres. 

BJUT has provided more than 150,000 graduates (including over 26,000 master and doctoral graduates). It is ranked No.107 according to the QS Asian University Rankings and No.26 in China.

Xi’an University of Science and Technology was established in 1958, which is a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary education and research university with a focus on mining technology.

The University now has 6 postdoctoral research divisions, 7 primary discipline doctoral programs, 40 subordinate discipline doctoral programs, 25 primary discipline master programs, 107 subordinate discipline master programs, 17 fields of engineering masters and 57 undergraduate professions.There are 23,000 full-time students, more than 2,300 faculty members, among which 1,300 full-time teaching staff and more than 600 associate/professors.

The school of Mechanical Engineering was set up in 2002, based on mine electromechanical program formed in 1958. The faculty has 113 staff and about 2000 undergraduate students.
