As part of the Oral History Society event, we trained volunteers and employees of the Homeward Bound project.
Dr Rosalyn Livshin delivered the workshop. Attendees gained an excellent understanding of how to conduct oral history interviews. As a result of the event, volunteers were able to undertake oral history interviews for the Homeward Bound project.

The Archives Day at Merseyside Maritime Museum gave volunteers and employees of the Homeward Bound project the opportunity to explore the Elder Dempster holdings at the Merseyside Maritime Museum.
Hosted by Sarah Starkey, the Senior Archivist at Merseyside Maritime Museum, the event allowed individuals to conduct independent research into the archives’ holdings.

The Conducting Oral History for Seafarers event trained volunteers and employees of the Homeward Bound project. As part of the event, attendees learnt how to conduct oral history interviews. The training was delivered by Dr Jo Stanley, an expert in oral history techniques for seafarers.
