LJMU Move: get your reduced summer 2026 membership

To support our community during the end of term and exam period, and in light of upcoming refurbishment works, we are introducing reduced LJMU Move summer membership prices from wc 11 May to 31 August 2026 (inclusive).
Reduced LJMU Move summer membership prices:

Students: £15 (previously £40)

Staff: £20 (previously £50)

Alumni: £20 (previously £50)
These revised prices will apply through to 31 August 2026.
New and improved gym
Over the summer months, parts of the LJMU Sport Building will also be under refurbishment.
The LJMU Sport Building Gym will undergo a major refurbishment over the summer period, which will include upgrades to equipment and a revised layout.
While this work is essential to improve your experience, there may be temporary disruption to services during this time.
Alternative Arrangements
As part of your summer membership and to ensure all LJMU Move members can stay active while refurbishment works are taking place, members will have:

Access to the Gym at University of Liverpool.

A revised programme of fitness classes at our Copperas Hill site.

A summer schedule of open play sessions and activities.
Plans for the gym refurbishment will be shared via our LJMU Sport Building webpages and social media channels in the coming weeks.
Summer refurbishments timeline
Monday 15 June: Main Gym Closes for refurbishment.
Monday 17 August : Main Gym Re-opens – open access until 31 August 2026
