Debbie's business career includes a period as Northern Cities Executive for Arcadis UK, as Managing Director of Direct Rail Services and as Finance & Commercial Director of the London North Western Route with Network Rail.
She is a Chartered Director and Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and has an undergraduate degree from John Moores University and an MBA from the University of Manchester.
Debbie runs her own training and consultancy business and is also currently Chair of the Lancashire LEP and Chair of Harwich Haven Authority as well as being a Non-Executive Director of MDC Stockport, Loram UK and Liberty Group.
Debbie was awarded an OBE for services to women in rail in the Queen's New Year's Honour's in 2020.
Debbie is originally from Liverpool, and has lived in Aberdeen, Venezuela, America and Glasgow but has been settled for the last 20 years near Warrington where she lives with her husband Paul.
