World AIDS Day - 1st December 2019

World AIDS Day - 1st December 2019

World AIDS Day takes place on 1st December each year. The first Global Health Day began in 1988. The day provides an opportunity to raise awareness of HIV /AIDS and reminds us of the people who are living with this illness and those who have lost their lives. Let’s use the day to find out the facts and show solidarity with the millions of people living with HIV/AIDS world-wide. Many people will demonstrate their solidarity by wearing the ‘HIV awareness red ribbon' on the day. 1st of December is a day to remember that with regard to HIV/AIDS there is still the need to raise awareness, fight prejudice and improve education around the subject.
