New support for staff development

The university will shortly be introducing a new system to support you in recording and tracking performance and development conversations.

The new platform, Actus, will enable you to more easily engage with, and take ownership of, your objectives and development.

Actus is a secure online space where you will be able to access information relating to your work objectives and development; you will be able to track your catch-ups, progress against your objectives, prepare for your appraisal and record development activity.

We will be running a pilot scheme with a number of academic and professional services teams before Christmas and then extending across the university in the new year.

It is anticipated that all staff will access the system early in 2023 and will be able to use the new platform for 2022/23 appraisals and to record your objectives for the next academic year.

LJMU has invested in this platform to help facilitate good quality conversations about career development and support all staff in fulfilling our potential. You will receive more details about Actus ahead of your team adopting the new approach.
