What is happening in Liverpool this festive season 2022

The winter season has officially arrived across Liverpool. Here’s everything you need to know about what is happening around campus, and across the city, to get you into the festive spirit.

Liverpool’s Christmas Market

Liverpool’s Christmas Market is back again this year, against the stunning back drop of St George’s Hall, and is so close to Liverpool Lime Street Station and the Student Life Building. There will be stalls with traditional Christmas gifts, mulled wine and festive treats right up until 24 December. Find out more. (opens in a new tab)

Christmas on campus with JMSU

The countdown to Christmas and the start of Winter Break has officially begun. John Moores Students’ Union has lots of fun and exciting activities lined up for students to get involved in, including pantomime trips, wreath making and Christmas film screenings. Find out more. (opens in a new tab)

Stroll around the city

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around Liverpool. Why not take a stroll around the centre and take in the lights on Bold Street or the Christmas tree on Williamson Square. There’s also the Alpine Village Bar Hütte next to Liverpool One if you fancy some karaoke or a Christmas Lights trail around Albert Dock.

For more information on what’s going on around the city, plus events or workshops, head to the VisitLiverpool Christmas webpages. (opens in a new tab)

Help and support if you’re not feeling festive

We know that not everyone is in the Christmas spirit at this time of year. Remember we have help and support for all LJMU students (opens in a new tab) and staff, (opens in a new tab) with 1-2-1 appointments, mental health and wellbeing resources and advice.
