Former sports performance student, Helen Nicholls, has been appointed as Performance Director at British Equestrian.

In an announcement made by British Equestrian this week, the organisation recognised how Helen’s studies at LJMU in the 1990s led her to a decade-long career with British Sailing before joining UK Sport as a Performance Advisor where she worked across a number of sports, equestrian included.

The full announcement can be read in British Equestrian’s news article.

Congratulations to Helen on her new role and we hope to see the impact of her work in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris.

Visit our School of Sport and Exercise Sciences page if you'd like to follow in Helen's footsteps and gain a qualification that will support your aspirations of working in the world of elite sport.
