LJMU among best for value for money and jobs
Liverpool John Moores offers some of the best job prospects and value for money in the university sector, according to comparison site, StudentCrowd.
LJMU ranks 13th for job prospects and 15th for value for money in the StudentCrowd University Awards 2024.
Based in the heart of Liverpool, the highly-popular uni also ranks 16th for teaching quality, 19th for courses and 7th for support from personal tutors.
StudentCrowd analysed 31,564 verified student reviews submitted between June 2022 and June 2024, across 11 different categories that students rated out of 5 stars.
A spokesperson said: “These are the only university awards based 100% on reviews from verified students studying in the UK, using their ac.uk email address.”
UCAS research shows that ‘online reviews by students’ are the second most important resource for university applicants.
In 2023, StudentCrowd rated Liverpool the best student city in the UK.
In related news this week, new figures show the proportion of LJMU undergraduates gaining high-skilled roles has grown by 7% over the last four years - four times faster than the UK’s higher education sector average, and average salaries have jumped 9.8% in a year.
