About Open Data Week
This is the first Open Data Week for LJMU, aiming to bring together researchers, PGRs and data enthusiasts to discuss the critical role that data plays in advancing research and innovation. In an era where data drives decision-making and discovery, effective data management and open data initiatives are more important than ever. Our sessions will delve into various aspects of data management, including:
- Understanding data management - the foundational principles of data management, including data collection, storage, sharing and preservation
- Best practices in data sharing - insights into the best practices for making data more accessible, discoverable, and usable, while adhering to ethical and legal standards
Benefits of taking part in Open Data Week
Open Data Week offers a unique opportunity to learn, network, and collaborate with others who are passionate about the potential of open data to transform research and innovation. Whether you are a seasoned researcher or new to the field, the sessions are tailored to provide valuable insights that can enhance your work and contribute to a more transparent and data-driven research environment.
Together, we can unlock the power of data and drive forward the open science movement.
