Supporting our charity partner Claire House through the Mowgli Dog Show 2025

The Mowgli Dog Show returns to Claremont Farm this June for its 7th year in support of Claire House Children’s Hospice and LJMU is to be the event’s main sponsor.

The annual fundraiser - developed by our Chancellor, Nisha Katona, and organised by Mowgli Street Food - supports the vital work of the hospice in the Liverpool City Region with every penny of profit from the event going directly to Claire House, helping to support seriously and terminally ill children and their families.

The event will run on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 June 2025 at Claremont Farm, Bebington, Wirral.

The Mowgli Dog Show is my favourite day of the year. Dogs edify our busy lives with their greetings, their smiles, their unswerving loyalty. The Dog Show brings everyone together, all for the love of dogs and in aid for the wonderful Claire House.

Dan Halliday, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Claire House, said: “The Mowgli Dog Show is such a fantastic event for Claire House Children’s Hospice to be a part of.  Not only does it raise an incredible amount of much-needed money year on year for our children and their families, but the awareness it generates within our community is incredible.

“We can’t thank Nisha and the whole Mowgli family enough for the passion and energy it takes to make such a wonderful family event and for making a real difference to the lives of so many children who need us most.”

Professor Mark Power, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of LJMU, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Mowgli Dog Show 2025. Led by our Chancellor Nisha Katona, this fantastic event is a wonderful way to support and raise funds for Claire House Children’s Hospice.

“Liverpool John Moores University is proud to have Claire House as one of our charity partners in recognition of the vital work it does for seriously and terminally ill children in our communities. I would encourage people to come and join us for what will be an extremely enjoyable weekend that will also raise money for a great cause.”

A weekend of fun for all

The Mowgli Dog Show promises an unforgettable weekend for dog lovers, families, and anyone looking for a fantastic day out. The event features ten exciting competitions, where beloved pets can compete in crowd-favourite categories such as Child’s Best Friend, Agility, and Fancy Dress, with entries available on the day. There will also be demonstrations by the renowned West Lancs Dog Display Team, showcasing incredible skill and teamwork between handlers and their dogs.

For the first time, LJMU will have a stand at the event, providing an important opportunity to show support for the hospice and for the university to introduce new audiences to higher education.

Visitors can also explore a wide array of food, drink, and craft stalls, while families can enjoy a variety of children’s activities, a funfair, and inflatables along with hearing local musicians in the new music tent - there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Tickets are now available for just £10 each which you can find online at the Mowgli Trust website.
