Eighty paramedic students climb Mount Snowdon for charity
Students from across the UK take part
LJMU paramedics joined forces with fellow university paramedic students and societies from across the UK to hike Mount Snowdon raising vital funds for The Ambulance Staff Charity (TASC).
The fundraiser led by the LJMU Paramedic Society saw more than 80 paramedic students take on the nine-mile round trip to the summit of Wales’ highest mountain, carrying a full-sized CPR manikin.
Students from paramedic societies at Liverpool John Moores University, Buckinghamshire New University, Keele University, Nottingham Trent, University of Worcester, Sheffield Hallam, Staffordshire, University of Central Lancashire, University of East Anglia, University of Cumbria, University West London, Anglia Ruskin University took part in the climb for The Ambulance Staff Charity, which provides vital mental, physical, and financial support to ambulance workers and their families.
The cause is particularly important to the LJMU students, many of whom are currently on placement with NHS ambulance services across the North West.

This is a meaningful challenge for all of us. We’ve seen the pressures faced by ambulance staff first-hand, and we want to do our part to support the charity that supports them.
