Construction management graduate recognised at celebration of apprentices
Konnagh Hill, a recent BSc (Hons) Construction Management graduate who studied via the degree apprenticeship pathway, has been recognised at a national celebration of apprentices run by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
He was nominated by teaching staff to represent LJMU at the event which brought together outstanding apprentices from universities across the country to recognise excellence and achievement across the surveying profession.
Konnagh attended the celebration at RICS headquarters in London, accompanied by Thomas Dowd, Principal Lecturer in the School of Engineering and Built Environment at LJMU. During the event, Konnagh was photographed with Tony Osude, RICS Chief Markets Delivery Officer, recognising an exceptional year of academic and professional accomplishment.
Konnagh completed his degree apprenticeship, welcomed a new baby, moved to a new employer, and passed his Apprenticeship End Point Assessment at the first attempt graduating in May. He then submitted his RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) in September and successfully achieved MRICS Chartered Surveyor status via the Project Management pathway following his interview in November.

His determination, professionalism, and resilience make him a standout representative of LJMU’s apprenticeship programmes and an inspiring role model for future apprentices. Congratulations to Konnagh on this fantastic recognition during National Apprenticeship Week 2026.
