New members for University Professor and Reader Conferment Panel

We are delighted to confirm that four colleagues have been invited to join the University’s Professor and Reader Conferment Panel. Professors Joasia Krysa, Pooja Saini, Track Dinning, and Cathy Montgomery will join the panel in 2026 for a five-year term.

Panel responsibilities

The panel is responsible for assessing applications for the titles of Professor and Reader, ensuring that decisions are evidence-based, consistent and aligned with the university’s academic progression criteria.

It plays an important role in recognising sustained contribution and achievement in research, teaching and learning, engaged scholarship, and academic leadership.

Panel members

They will join Professors Amos Fatokun, Caroline Wilkinson, Phil Vickerman, Zoe Knowles, Jin Wang, Adam Shore, Dan Silverstone, Tony Wall, Cathy Cole, Keith George and Mark Power on the Panel.

The four new members bring a range of academic and leadership experience from across the institution. Their appointments strengthen disciplinary and conferment pathway representation on the Panel, and we are thankful to them for taking on this responsibility and look forward to their contribution to this important area of academic recognition.
