Liverpool John Moores University

LJMU has a national and international community of 25,000 students from 100 countries world-wide, 2,500 staff and 250 degree courses. From the award-winning Astrophysics Research Institute and the high-profile work within the Research Institute for Sports and Exercise Sciences to the world-renowned Public Health Institute, LJMU's research institutes and centres have established themselves as big names in their areas of expertise. Staff have a wide range of research interests and groups, spanning science, technology, business, law, education, health, leisure and the arts.

Within LJMU the project is based in the Liverpool Business School and coordinated by Prof David Bryde and Jane Dowson.

University of Stuttgart

The University of Stuttgart has a high reputation for excellence in the fields of mobile and information technology, production, process engineering as well as in life sciences. It consists of ten faculties with 150 institutes and more than 5,000 employees. In 2015 around 27,200 students were registered and 3,000 students graduate every year and start their careers.

Within the University of Stuttgart the project is coordinated by Professor Dr Brigit Renzl and Dr Martin Rost.

Manchester Metropolitan University is one of the largest universities in the UK with over 38,000 students. It is well-established as one of the leading universities for research amongst the new universities in the UK. The project is based in the Faculty of Business and Law, which houses two of the University’s key Research Centres; Future Economies and Centre for Decent Work and Productivity. The Faculty is internationally recognised for the quality of its research and training and currently hosts three early stage researchers supported through the MSCA ITN SAF21 (642080).

Dr Roula Michaelides (Team Leader) is a Reader within the Department of Operations, Technology, Events and Hospitality Management (OTEHM). Dr Michaelides has a PhD in e-government projects and extensive experience researching into aspects of innovation and collaboration in projects. Dr Michaelides has consistently received funding for research projects investigating various aspects of managing projects in the industrial and public sector settings as a principal and collaborative investigator. Dr Michaelides has published over 40 technical papers.

University of Konstanz

The University of Konstanz Technology, Economics and Design (HTWG) is a modern technical university with an application-oriented profile. It has a broad range of subjects and benefits from the interdisciplinarity and the combination of theory and practice.

The university is a partner for innovation-oriented companies and high-performance, creative people in research and development, technology transfer and advanced training. The HTWG Konstanz wants to contribute to the sustainable development of society and continueally seeks to forge new ties globally.

University Sains Malaysia

USM has been established as the second public university in Malaysia in 1969. The School of Housing, Building and Planning has been established in 1972 as one of the nation’s oldest.

Within USM the project is based in the School of Housing, Building and Planning and the project is coordinated by Dr Amin Akhavan Tabassi.

Project Five Consulting Ltd

Project Five Consulting Ltd is a consultancy firm consisting of a unique team of experts set on achieving a more sustainable and efficient construction sector to serve the needs of the built environment. Our team are experts in a range of fields including, lean construction, business and process improvement, Building Information Modelling (BIM), sustainability, social value, winning work, leadership and management and behavioural change programmes.

The project is coordinated by Tim Whitehill.

Refine Projects AG

Refine Projects AG is a consultancy firm focusing on improving processes, lean management/lean construction and systemic project management. Their approach is to analyse and optimise processes sustainably to efficiently generate the desired value in less time. This is based on the internationally proven Last-Planner-System, their experience in systemic project management and their expert knowledge in Lean Construction.

The project is coordinated by Dr Claus Nesensohn.

Drees & Sommer AG

Drees & Sommer has been assisting private and public builders as well as investors with all real estate-related questions for more than 45 years. This partner-managed company, whose headquarters are located in Stuttgart, is represented at 38 locations and representative around the world, and sets the trend in the area of development management, infrastructure consulting, project management, real estate consulting and engineering. Innovation and "thinking differently" have remained the defining characteristics of the company until today. Its 2,150 employees rely on entrepreneurial and customer-oriented action – while at the same time preserving as much decision-making freedom as possible.

The project is coordinated by Professor Jürgen Volm.

AIMES Management Services Ltd

AIMES is an industry leading commercial data centre service provider, based in Liverpool, UK. Established in 2005, they are involved in R&D activities to improve the efficiency, reliability and security of data centre infrastructure.

The project is coordinated by Michael Walker.

Transformation Consulting International GmbH

The Transformation Consulting International GmbH provides consultants or established teams to implement transformation projects. TCI was ranked a top 20 consulting company in 2014, 2015 and 2016 in Germany. It has more than 300 consultants in Germany, Switzerland and the Middle East.
