Bounce Physio's Team
Joanne Garnet
Specialist Physiotherapist
Joanne has extensive clinical experience across upper limb, lower limb and spinal disciplines, with added specialist knowledge in the management of temporomandibular joint pain, bell’s palsy, vestibular problems, symphysis pubis dysfunction, diastasis recti and pre/post-operative orthopaedic patients.
In complex cases Joanne considers associated psychological factors, applying a biopsychosocial approach to undertake specialist assessment. She ensures every patient is treated with respect, care and compassion, alongside the latest evidence-based practice to formulate appropriate management plans. As an experienced clinical practitioner Joanne regularly liaises with musculoskeletal practitioners and chronic pain management service teams, to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
Her experience spans acute and chronic presentations and further work in fracture clinics, traumatic, non-traumatic, rheumatological and post-operative conditions, ENT and pain clinics.
Within a physiotherapy role providing acupuncture to patients with chronic pain in order to provide an alternative treatment for pain relief, Joanne is highly competent and provides high quality physiotherapy intervention for clients with routine and complex neuromusculoskeletal problems, developing bespoke exercise programmes and promoting self-management principles.
