Medical Cannabis Photovoice Project

Volunteers needed for Photovoice research about the experiences of people taking prescribed cannabis.

We are looking for volunteers take part in a Photovoice project about their experiences of their prescribed cannabis.

Photovoice is a creative approach to research where you the participant are invited to take photos that express your experiences, views, feelings and ideas on a topic.

We would provide you with some prompts which we hope will inspire you to take some photos using your smartphone or camera.

We are interested in different aspects of your medication experience, including packaging, storage, and taking your medication at different times of day and in various contexts.

You would be asked to submit your photographs to us via email, along with a few words that explain what each of your photographs represents.

To take part in the study, you must be:

  • over 18
  • living in the UK
  • currently prescribed cannabis by a doctor OR a carer for someone prescribed cannabis by a doctor

Please note:
This particular study is only about medical cannabis with a legal prescription, not cannabis recreational use.

If you are interested, please access the Participant Information Sheet and information video.

Alternatively, you can email Dr Lindsey Metcalf McGrath.

By contacting us, you are simply agreeing to receive more information about the study to help you decide whether to participate. You are under no obligation to take part and can decide not to at any point.
