   This month we are launching the Your LJMU Your Voice 2024 staff engagement survey.

   In a special edition of the LJMU 1823 Podcast: The road to Silverstone, Dr Christian Matthews is joined by LJMU e-Racing Head of Team 2022, MSc student Cameron Reedy, and former Head of Team, Rhian Griffith, who now works as a mechanical engineer at the Small Robot Company.

3. International Scholarships awarded to 16 students

   16 students were presented with their international scholarships this week at a reception in the Student Life Building.

5. National Teaching Fellowship awarded to Dr Craig Hammond

   LJMUs Dr Craig Hammond, a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education, has been recognised for his outstanding impact on student outcomes and the teaching profession in higher education, with a National Teaching Fellowship.

6. Laser Run added to Invictus Games 2027 thanks to influence of LJMU

   LJMU has been a trailblazer in the inclusive sport of Para Pentathlon, so much so that the Para Laser element of the event has been added to the Invictus Games.

7. Our LJMU community celebrating Ramadan

   Ramadan begins on 2 April and our LJMU Equality team is sharing the support available for those celebrating plus their advice on how our LJMU community can help students and staff who may be fasting.

8. Kind staff and students support Whitechapel Centre Christmas appeal

   Warm clothes, selection boxes, toiletry sets and Christmas foods were among the items collected and donated by staff and students.

9. Staff Governor vacancy

   The Secretariat is now seeking expressions of interest from eligible candidates to represent Professional Services as a Staff Governor member of the Board of Governors.
