SDG 16 - Peace, justice and strong institutions
Around the world, we need peace in every sense. Compassion and a strong moral compass is essential to every democratic society. Yet, persecution, injustice and abuse still runs rampant and is tearing at the very fabric of civilisation. We must ensure that we have strong institutions, global standards of justice, and a commitment to peace everywhere.
At LJMU we provide unique opportunities for our students to undertake supervised pro bono work through our Legal Advice Centre, we are at the cutting edge of craniofacial identification research, and we work closely with police forces across the UK to improve wellbeing of our law enforcement workforce.
