LJMU Bathgate Boost Award
Thanks to our partnership with the Bathgate Group Ltd, LJMU are able to offer a £1000 award to current students and recent graduates of LJMU with new locally based start-up ventures.
We are looking to support sole traders, freelancers, companies and social enterprises that demonstrate viability and show us how the funding will help them grow.
Sitting alongside this funding is a package of support from the Start-up Hub team built around developing your start-up and your skills as an entrepreneur.
Eligibility criteria
The LJMU Bathgate Boost Award is open to current LJMU students and alumni who graduated recently (within the last five academic years).
Unfortunately, international students on Tier 4 Visas and graduates on graduate visas cannot apply for this funding. However, we can support you with developing your business ideas.
Applicants must not have received start-up funding from LJMU previously.
To receive funding the venture must be based within the North West of England.
Applications will not be considered from businesses that engage in any kind of activity that in our opinion could bring LJMU into disrepute.
