Global Summer Schools
LJMU's Global Summer Schools are short-term trips to our partner universities around the world. They combine cultural immersion with learning about the UN Sustainable Development Goals and have a mix of classroom and environment-based learning. A summer school is a great way to expand your world, add to your CV and build lasting connections.
Summer Schools are open to Level 4 and 5 students who have not previously gone on a summer school with LJMU. Students who have done other global opportunities such as global citizen and study abroad are welcome to apply. You can apply regardless of what programme you study!
This summer 2025, LJMU are sending students to France, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam all for four weeks each. These are funded programmes, meaning the costs of flights, accommodation and programme fees while in country.

My trip to Shanghai was the best two weeks of my life. Never again will I get such an opportunity to immerse myself in Chinese culture. Armed with our new international experience, we all feel ready to take on the world of employment after graduation with new perspectives and understanding.
