LJMU has been awarded the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Higher and Further Education – the highest honour in education – for the groundbreaking work of Face Lab.
LJMU was a double winner at the Times Higher Education Awards 2025, with awards for Business School of the Year and Outreach Initiative of the Year.
We were recognised with a National Award for our Pro Bono Windrush Community Law Clinic, run by staff, students and local legal firms.
We gained a gold rating for student outcomes and silver overall in the national Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023.
LJMU has been officially ranked as a first class university for sustainability in the 2025/26 People and Planet League.
We were named Business School of the Year at the Educate North Awards 2025.
The quality of student experience at LJMU continues to increase across all measures, according to the findings of the independent National Student Survey (NSS). Satisfaction levels rose across all seven themes in the 2025 survey.
Results from the International Student Barometer show that 94% of our international students are happy with their learning experience and 92% feel prepared for their future career goals thanks to their LJMU journey.
