Using Virtual Reality (VR) to Improve Criminal Investigations (£15 Amazon Voucher)
We invite you to participate in a ground-breaking study aimed at using Virtual Reality (VR) to enhance eyewitness memory.
Participants will be asked to engage in two sessions:
- First Session: Visit our laboratory in the GERI Building (Liverpool, City Campus), where you'll experience a 5-minute non-violent event using a Meta Quest 2 VR Headset.
- Second Session: Return to our lab 24 hours later for a brief interview about your recollection of the event. The interview will last approximately 15 minutes and take place in a VR room.
Who can participate
You are eligible to participate if you:
- are over 18 years old
- fluent in English
- have not been diagnosed with any condition or are taking any medication that might affect your memory
- have no history of epilepsy or seizures
- are comfortable using a Virtual Reality Headset
