Scheduled events 2026

  • 25 March: Jayne Friend will deliver at talk on her new book Destroyers, Naval Culture and British Identity, online and in room 106 John Foster Building, Mount Pleasant.   • 6 May 2026: Mike Stammers Memorial LectureDr Robb Robinson, Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Hull, will present the lecture, 'A Forgotten Navy: Fishermen, Fishing Vessels and the Great War at Sea' at the Museum of Liverpool at 5:30pm.   • 16 May: War at Sea – Quaker Meeting House, School Lane, Liverpool, L1 3BT. This year's conference is on World War One with a focus on the Battle of Jutland, marking 110 years since the event. For the conference programme and how to register, please see the conference section below.
